The Counterfeit Hub?

The Dong-a has an article I am going to comment on again, this is just a quick hitter. The article entilted "Overseas visitors say Korea is boring" has quite a few gems. One of them is a first person account of how serious a problem some of the luxury goods counterfeiting is in Korea:

Japanese tourist Masahiro Yoshito (37) spent most of his 4-day visit buying Chinese “imitation” designer products at Dongdaemun Market in Seoul. “After I visited a few palaces, there was nowhere else to go in Seoul,” he said. “The only upside of visiting Korea was the easy access to imitation products.”

Sigh...
